What are the key characteristics of a MAKOL?
To be considered a MAKOL, an individual may fulfill some or even all of the following criteria:
- Demonstrates a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, publishing on themes such as: unmet needs; disease and economic burden; cost-effectiveness and budget impactof current and emerging therapies; healthcare resource utilization; reimbursementand access challenges
- Consistently authors systematic reviews, guidelines, and/or meta-analyses
- A well-respected researcher, clinician, economist or health policy expert
- Involved in country-specific or regional policy development and health economics initiatives
